BECOME NAILSEA C.C.'S SHIRT SPONSOR FOR JUST £50
Inspired by the recent successes of Bristol Rovers and the Bristol Balloon Fiesta, Nailsea Cricket Club have decided to hold a special sponsorship draw for a chance to become the team's official shirt sponsor for the next two seasons (2010 & 2011).
Local businesses can buy a draw ticket for £50 and win the opportunity to see their company's name on all Nailsea C.C. shirts.
The draw will be held at the annual ‘Club Day’ at the Grove Sports Centre, Nailsea on 30 August 2009, and there are four main prizes to be won:
1st Prize - Your name on the front of all Nailsea C.C. shirts and Main Shirt Sponsor status on club documents and website.
2nd Prize - Your name on the back of all Nailsea C.C. shirts.
3rd Prize - Your name on the sleeve of all Nailsea C.C. shirts.
4th Prize - A perimeter advertising banner at Nailsea C.C.’s home ground.
The draw will be capped to a maximum of 100 tickets, to maximise your chance of winning. Each ticket costs £50 or you can buy three tickets for £100.
And even if you don't win big, you will not leave empty handed. Everyone who enters will be given ‘Club Affiliate’ status – which includes a link on the club website (currently being redesigned), your company logo on a Junior or Senior player’s bat, and receipt of the regular club newsletter.
Nailsea run 9 teams with over 100 players from age 6 to 60, playing over 150 fixtures a season across the entire Bristol and North Somerset region (and occasionally beyond).
Since new playing shirts were made back in 2006, prior to Nailsea’s exhibition match against Richard Johnson’s Somerset XI, the kit has now become tired and in need of replacement (especially for the many growing junior players).
Nailsea player and draw organiser Adam Blower said “Breaking away from traditional high price sponsorship deals, this is a great way to tackle the credit crunch and give local businesses a fantastic opportunity to get involved with the club.
“Nailsea is a great club with a record of producing some of the best young cricketers around, but we do not have the luxury of a revenue stream from bar takings like a lot of the senior clubs.
“One of the club’s main objectives is to develop continuity between youth and senior cricket, and we are also looking at promoting the club within the community by forging links with the schools in Nailsea.
“This idea takes things one step further, and having the draw on ‘Club Day’ will hopefully give local businesses a chance to see what the club is all about and forge some long lasting connections.
“In recent years the club have been involved in some high profile matches, including last year’s twenty over match against Marcus Trescothick and his Somerset team. Such games draw big crowds and, along with our weekly fixtures, get good coverage in the local media, so this will be a great chance for local businesses to really get their name seen.”
